Grandparent visit

Mom & Dad left our place around 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. We had such a good visit with them and Mavis advanced in her socializing skills by leaps and bounds. Dad had her truly belly-laughing not long after arriving and Mom taught her the fun of being bounced on a grown-up's knee. She was a bit discomfited the day they left and is only now realizing that Mommy & Daddy are still groovy people and that she is OK.

This picture is from this morning. We were practicing rolling over which she still hasn't gotten interested in doing. However, she is getting pretty good at working her way around in a circle. I guess it gives her a chance to see all around the room.

We had to graduate her out of the kitchen-sink-as-a-bathtub this morning. Mavis has snagged onto the fun of splashing in her bath water by kicking her legs. The amount of water displaced was significant enough to convince us the kitchen will be better off if we bathe her in the big tub. And to do so more often. Out come the bath toys!
