on the way home

Driving away from loved ones is always saddening so on our way home we stopped at three National Monuments. The first was Hovenweep where this photo was taken. It was a brisk 39*F and we were glad for long sleeves.

We also stopped, briefly, at Canyon de Chelly and the Hubbell Trading Post. I was able to buy my National Monument magnets and a book for Mavis.
