June has been a remarkably long month for having a mere 30 days. It seems far more than just four weeks ago that Chas started on his work for Sunbelt Archives. He will submit his first invoice to them later this afternoon.
I have spoken to all the members of my family this month. That is a positive thing. We managed to pay all our bills that were due by today. That is a very positive thing. There are now only six weeks of summer left. That is a nice thought given the temperatures we have been experiencing. These are all good things, but that doesn't quite describe the tension of the minutes, hours and days spent waiting for information or instructions.
Reading voraciously has helped a little. It would be nice if sleep happened so that sleep could help. Many pursuits that previously kept my attention have proven to no longer do so. Lately I have just enough energy to keep Mavis watched and out of serious trouble. DVDs are wonderful escapism, maybe even better than books. My bathroom is clean again for the second time in two weeks.
But looking ahead to July and its 31 days is about enough to make me weep. We should have all our questions answered by the end of the month.
